Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This policy explains how ReelWords handles personal information when you visit the site, create an account, upload media, or use the website, API, or MCP tools. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
Information we handle
Account information may include your name, email address, authentication identifiers, plan, usage, API-key metadata, and support messages. We process video URLs, uploaded media, audio, transcripts, captions, job settings, rendered outputs, and related logs when you use those features. Media and transcripts can contain personal information about people other than the account holder.
We also receive technical information such as device and browser details, IP address, service events, and analytics data. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; ReelWords receives billing and transaction details needed to manage plans and credits, but does not need your full card number.
How we collect and use information
We collect information you provide, information created by your use of the service, and information supplied by authentication, payment, analytics, and processing providers. We use it to operate accounts, process requested jobs, deliver outputs, manage usage and payments, send service and support messages, secure and troubleshoot the platform, and understand how the product is used.
We do not sell uploaded videos or transcripts. The application code does not include a ReelWords model-training pipeline. Media submitted for a feature may be sent to processing providers; contact us before submitting sensitive or regulated material if you need specific contractual handling commitments.
Processors and disclosure
The current product integrates with Supabase for authentication and storage, Stripe for billing, Resend for email, Google services for analytics and some AI processing, Supadata for some transcript retrieval, and Azure and Cloudflare for hosting or delivery. We disclose information to these providers as needed for the relevant service. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the service.
These providers may process or access information outside Australia. Their processing locations can vary by service configuration. We will provide information about the locations relevant to your data on request, and will update this policy when our provider-region inventory is confirmed.
Uploads, outputs, and retention
Uploads and generated outputs may be stored in private service storage and made available through time-limited signed links. A link expiring does not by itself mean the underlying file was deleted. Some completed job outputs are subject to automated cleanup; account, billing, usage, and operational records may be kept for different periods where needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, or protect security.
We have not published a single retention period for every category of data. Contact support for the current retention details or to request deletion of information associated with your account.
Cookies and analytics
Authentication and similar storage help keep you signed in and remember service state. The website also loads Google Analytics, which may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and product events. Your browser settings and available Google controls may limit this collection.
Security
We use authentication, access controls, private storage, signed download links, and other technical measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials and API keys private and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
Access, correction, and deletion
Email [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may retain some information where required or permitted by law. If you supplied information about another person, make sure you had the authority to do so.
Questions and complaints
Send privacy questions or complaints to [email protected] with enough detail for us to investigate. We will review the issue and respond within a reasonable time. If you are in Australia and remain dissatisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product or our information practices change. The date above shows the latest version. We will take reasonable steps to draw attention to material changes.
